I've shopped for life insurance online via esurance.com and other websites.  Are your prices any different?

No--insurance premium rates are set by the carriers, NOT the insurance agents, so for the same policy with the same company, my rates will be the same.

OK--so if the price for life insurance is the same, why should I work with you instead of just buying it online?

As an independent agent, I see life insurance cases every day and can help you choose the best insurance company and policy for your particular needs.  This includes:

> Asking you family/personal history questions (medical and otherwise) that will help find the best insurance company at the best price for you. For example, if you have a family history of cancer, there are some companies that look at you more favorably than others.

> Helping you assess what your true insurance coverage needs and time frame are, not what I (or some website) think they should be.

> Providing you with price and coverage options in an easy-to-read matrix so you can decide what coverage you are most comfortable with before you apply

> Preparing the application for you and prefilling as much data as possible to save you time.

> Explaining to you each step of the way what is going to happen and try to resolve problems before they become complicated.

> If a problem occurs during the application process, you have a direct contact person who can help get it resolved or find a way to work around it.

> Acting as a resource and a sounding board before, during and after the insurance policy process.

What is included in your flat fee rate?

Your flat fee rate includes Federal, State & Local Tax Returns.  It also includes federal & state estimated payment vouchers (if necessary) as well as e-filing.  There are no "add-on" or "per form" charges with Delfau Tax & Financial Services.

Do I have to E-File?

Generally, yes.  IRS and most states have mandated that paid tax preparers must E-File tax returns.  In addition, there are benefits to E-Filing:

     > Secure electronic transmission of your tax return to the taxing authorities.

     > Assurance that IRS receives your tax return exactly how it was entered. (If you paper file, someone at IRS has to re-enter your return into their system, which can lead to errors and transposed numbers.)

    > Electronic onfirmation that your tax return was received.

    > Savings on postage and aggravation.  No more waiting at the post office to mail your tax return certified and at the last minute!

     > Quicker turnaround time on your refund.

What hours do you meet with clients?  I can't leave work early.

Not a problem!  At DT&FS flexibility is key. 

Appointment Times:

Monday-Friday: 7:30pm or 8pm

Saturdays: mornings until 12pm

If you have a difficult schedule, I will work with you to find a time that works for both of us.

Do I have to have an in-person meeting?  I am really busy.

No worries.  DT&FS is technologically equipped!  If meeting in-person is difficult or you are not in Fairfield or Putnam Counties, we can always work via telephone, fax, and e-mail.  We can even Skype if you like!
